TUESDAY MEN’S LEAGUE - 2010

Ralph Nightingale and Bob Desrosiers will again run the Tuesday Night Men’s League, which is set to begin play on May 4 this year (if conditions allow).

The format will be the same as that for last year, that is, two-man teams playing 2-ball, best ball match play using club handicaps.

There will be an Early League (tee off at 4:00 pm) and Late League (tee off at 4:45 pm). We’ll schedule two separate 9-week halves with playoffs beginning after Labor Day.

Fees are $70 per man, of which $25 will go for year-end prizes and $45 will cover the weekly skins for the season (18 weeks x $2.50 per week).

Last years’ champions were Mike Fletcher and Rick Brown who defeated Mike and Dave Ward. The other semi-finalists were the teams of Milton Torres & Jim Sullivan and Kurt Grunow & Paul Trova.

Please note that we may be forced to limit the number of teams in the league given the constraints of course capacity and daylight. We had forty-two (42) teams play last year, which is very near full capacity. We can’t assume that last year’s Tuesday League players will automatically want to play this year as well. So please contact Bob Desrosiers (442 5490) to sign up your team if you wish to play in the Tuesday League for the 2010 season.

THURSDAY NIGHT MEN’S LEAGUE - 2010

The format for the Thursday Night Men’s League will remain as it was last year: two-man teams playing 2-ball, best ball match play using 80% of your club handicap. There will be an Early League (tee off at 4:00 pm) and Late League (tee off at 4:45 pm). We will play three 6-week thirds, with playoffs beginning after Labor Day. Fees are $60 per man (same as last year), which includes your entry fee and weekly skins (gross and net).

As long as conditions allow, we plan on beginning league play May 6^th. Once we begin play, please see Dave Kelley to pay your league dues. We ask that dues are paid by June 1^st. You can leave a check at the bar in the clubhouse (paid to Dave Kelley).

Please do not assume that just because you played last year you are signed up for this year. We need you to contact us and sign up. If you don’t have a partner and you are interested in playing, let us know. We can usually find someone to partner up with you.

DILLY BOYS LEAGUE 2010

Are you interested in having a guaranteed tee time two days a week? Would you like to play in different foursomes each day? Want to get to know some of the “older” members of WCC? The Dilly Boys league plays every Tuesday and Thursday with a first tee time at 9:30 AM.

There is no need to worry about substitutions, as we assign teams each day depending upon who shows up to play.

The league will start the 1^st Tuesday in May and continue until the end of September. We have two in-house fun tournaments, plus a joint Filly-Dilly Tournament in August. The exact dates of these tournaments will be announced during the season.

Dues for this league will be $40 for the season to cover tournament expenses and the cost of the golf balls we give to the day’s winners.

We expect the members to show up at the clubhouse by 9:10 AM, and the teams are assigned by the Dilly Czar at 9:15 AM. We then tee off with the first group at 9:30 AM. The format of play is a four man best two ball score with full handicap. Winners each day receive a brand new spanking clean golf ball!!

We encourage all those who are available during the week to join us for a relaxing day of fun golf, and a drink or snack afterwards in the Clubhouse.

Dues must be paid before June 1, and may be given to the Treasurer, Bruce Marauszwski, or the Dilly Czar, Bill Stevens.

LADIES WEDNESDAY MORNING 9 OR 18 HOLE LEAGUE 2010

All ladies are welcome to join our Wednesday Morning "COOKIE" League. The official season starts on Wednesday May 7 but feel free to practice up during April! You may sign up during May and pay your annual dues of $25 at that time.

The COOKIE Format will be Individual Stableford System which uses your net score based on your handicap. You may elect to play 9 holes or 18 on any given Wednesday.

Wednesday Night Ladies League -2010

If you are interested in playing or being a sub in the Wednesday Night Ladies league or would like more information regarding the league, please contact Patty Peltier (684-4755) or ppelt9590@gmail.com.

The league will be starting on Wednesday April 28th (weather permitting) and ending Sept 1st. If you have a partner, that is helpful. However, if you don’t have a partner, we will try to get one for you. League fees are $25 with an optional skins pool.
